During this time of year we feel it is important to let you know that Easter lilies are potentially deadly to cats. All parts of the plant are considered toxic, and intoxication can occur with ingestion of less than one leaf.

Symptoms to look for include vomiting, loss of appetite, and depression. If your cat exhibits any of these symptoms or if you suspect that your cat has ingested any part of an Easter lily seek veterinary care immediately. With prompt treatment, full recovery is possible.
